Background and Approach
Michael D. Wyckoff has practiced real estate and business law in Florida since his admission to The Florida Bar in 1993. He founded Wyckoff Law Firm, P.A. in October 1998, establishing a practice focused exclusively on real property, business transactions, and commercial finance in the Sarasota and Manatee county area.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with honors from the University of Florida in 1988, then went on to earn his Juris Doctor with honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1992. That combination of business and legal education informs his practical approach: he focuses on what matters commercially, not just what matters legally.
His practice covers residential and commercial real estate closings, title insurance, entity formations, contract drafting and negotiation, business sales and acquisitions, commercial financing, foreclosure defense, short sales, and loan workouts. He is a licensed title insurance agent for Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, one of Florida's most established title underwriters, and handles the full closing process from title search through disbursement.
What distinguishes his practice is the level of direct personal involvement. Michael Wyckoff handles each matter himself, without delegation to staff for substantive legal work. Clients communicate with him directly throughout the process. That approach is reflected in the continuity and care clients have come to expect over more than 26 years of practice.
He maintains his principal office on Manatee Avenue West in Bradenton and a Sarasota office in the Ringling Boulevard area, serving clients throughout the Gulf Coast region.
